Pre-k students learn the alphabet through exploration, environmental print, play, and daily conversations. My goal is to support student's letter knowledge by providing activities that are meaningful, engaging, and hands-on.
Providing tactile letters and games provides engaging opportunities for students to explore the alphabet. It aids in conversations about letter sounds and the letters in their names. Being able to feel the tactile letters supports students as they are learning to distinguish the shapes of letters and begin the process of writing. These materials would be used at school all throughout the year.
