My second grade is composed of children with social and emotional disabilities. They often do not have the opportunity to explore technology outside of school. With the use of tablets students will learn to navigate the internet for information available. Being able to work independently at this time during the pandemic is critical to their education. Right now I have only one 10 year old desktop computer that is available to my 7 students. This will help my students to feel like a regular classroom and have the technology that other schools have that we do not possess. This will give me the opportunity to individualize the tablet to fit the students' academic needs and enhance their learning at their own pace. This will support them when they reintegrate into their home schools with technology skills that their peers will already possess.
