These Amazon Fire tablets will enhance our resources available to our students learning. We will be able to use digital manipulatives to strengthen our understanding of math skills. I'm excited to use digital math skills with my students in small group because I can preset the online manipulatives for both my in class and online students. This will also allow for safer and more sanitary access to math manipulatives, which is essential in today's times.
With the tablets, we will be able to access several math and science programs online that have shown lots of student growth. We have two math programs: Happy Numbers and First in Math. Happy Numbers scaffolds lessons for better understanding, and First in Math helps students gain fact fluency. The addition of technology into our math and science rotations will help bridge the gaps in our students learning.
