This project is designed to bring some focus and attention within the classroom. My students find it very difficult to focus in the present. They are often perseverating on one particular individual theme, video game, or cartoon they recently saw. This project is asking for a non-distracting way to remind the student to refocus in the present and attend to the current task they should be working.
Focusing on the current situation is quite the challenge. As instructors for these students, we spend a lot of time refocusing, prompting, and encouraging the students to focus on the current lesson to help them be successful. The purpose of the "revibe" is to be able to set it the watch to silently prompt the student back into the present. The watch timer, will vibrate on specific set times, to remind the student to think "am I on task". This will allow them to be independent and give them the tool they need to be successful without the support of an individual.
Please help me help them to be successful.
