In light of COVID-19 and going in and out of the classroom for virtual learning, my special education preschool students learn through play with hands-on activities. Many activities for virtual learning are derived from items they can use in their home for hands-on learning through play. Having it readily available in the classroom also models how to use it at home. During these unprecedented times, any sensory input helps with the transitioning in and out of the classroom to accommodate their learning needs and enable them to fully attend to a task.
