We are a team of special education teachers who just completed initial Orton-Gillingham training. We want to provide our in-person and virtual students with a variety of multisensory activities that stimulate the auditory, visual and kinesthetic learning processes to increase the phonological awareness skills of our exceptional learners.
Phonological awareness is the foundation to reading success. The Orton-Gillingham based resources will benefit the students we work with by providing them the hands-on activities they need to acquire and retain new skills. We will also be able to provide parents with these resources and activities so students can practice acquired skills at home.
