My classroom hosts a variety of subjects, such as theatre/film literature, dramatic literature, advanced acting, and middle school dramatics. Classes have read novels exploring the themes of race, inequality, and the justice system, as well as acting through different life scenarios to improve our social-emotional learning.
My hope is that through plays and novels and film, students will gain knowledge about resilience and empathy for others. In addition to novels, students will analyze film and compare/contrast acting and directing choices made to bring the story to the big screen.
