All of the kindergarten students in my SAM classroom are receiving their daily instruction in a virtual environment. As the school year progresses virtually for us I have noticed a challenge I'm hoping to combat with this project. My students are struggling to fully hear the lessons being delivered virtually. This is due to many factors including the fact that many students are receiving their instruction in environments where other children are learning at the same time or where parents are working nearby.
It is my hope that a set of headphones for each child will help them fully focus on the instruction being delivered. Being able to hear their lessons more clearly will help my students in multiple ways. Students will be able to participate more fully, their engagement levels will increase, and ultimately we'll see greater comprehension from all students.
Having a personal set of headphones will have a positive impact on each and every child in my kindergarten classroom. Not only will each child be able to benefit from the headphone usage during live lessons, but they will be able to utilize the headphones during asynchronous learning as well.
