The Steam mop, the vacuum, and the microfiber mops will reinforce to my students that there are many ways to clean a floor. They will learn and practice how to use each so hopefully, these skills can then transfer to doing the same skill at home or on the job. The cooktops will give them a chance to not have to take turns and share 1 stove in our small classroom kitchen.
Students with disabilities need as many different opportunities as possible to learn important life skills that they will hopefully transfer to their respective homes and jobs. These items will help them learn more than basic sweeping and hopefully, they will better be able to help out at home and eventually be a contributing member of society in a job.
