The materials and supplies I am requesting will help my students have flexible seating options that allow them to learn best. We know that children need to move in order to be successful learners. Providing them with the option to stand while learning will increase student motivation as well as their focus. We live in Wisconsin and during a big portion of the school year it's quite cold and snowy. Providing my students with the kick bands will help burn off energy, while helping students focus on learning.
Providing these materials will maximize the learning environment in my classroom. Students get the choice to sit or stand where they can learn best, and therefore decrease interruptions and increase student motivation. Increasing the flexible seating options in my classroom will also help in creating an inviting and comfortable learning environment.
