Three of our elementary students took these SOAR pillars and have proposed an initiative to create a healthier learning environment in each classroom. They researched the negative effects that poor air quality has on learning and health, and presented a solution to help negate these negative effects. This initiative involves placing detoxifying plants in each classroom to remove harmful toxins. These students are working on this initiative to make classrooms safer for all and a better learning environment for all their peers. To carry out this initiative these students are seeking funding to purchase detoxifying plants for each classroom.
