My students have been learning at home full time since March 2020. These student's first year of elementary education was cut short and this year they still have not been able to return to school in person. They are young resilient learners who continue to show up in front of the screen, focus, and work hard each day! It really is amazing to see the abilities they have to independently use technology at such a young age.
If I had a second screen it would help me deliver lessons successfully. For example, it would give me the ability to present my screen large enough for the students to see while using the other screen to see my class at the same time. Therefore, I can see children raising their hands while presenting a lesson. We would be able to have a discussion about the topic without me having to keep closing the presentation every second to see the students. Having a monitor would make teaching virtually simpler and in turn be beneficial to student learning.
