Having access to a screen that is larger than a typical laptop makes it easier for students to focus on their online work and navigate the many options available within the software that they use to learn every day. A larger screen is both motivating for them and allows them to use other technology tools that complement their learning and makes them feel more empowered. For example, when students use speech to text software to help them get their writing ideas down on paper, the larger screen allows them to zoom in on those sections of the writing that they must edit. A larger screen also allows them to tile two or more windows next to one another allowing them to read and research on one side while writing and typing on the other.
