I am a special education teacher and special education department chair. I absolutely love working with my population of students. It is extremely rewarding. However, it becomes difficult to manage student work, attendance, IEPs, and other tasks all while teaching virtually from one monitor. I am hoping to be donated a monitor and video cable in order better manage and view all tasks completed. My students deserve to have the best version of me possible. Having two screens will allow me to be more present while managing classes, meetings, and legal IEP paperwork! My students will benefit from this by allowing me to turn my screen around when they come to me for support during the day. An additional screen will all students to view what I am showing them while still allowing them to be socially distanced from me.
