These materials will help transform a disused school greenhouse into an fantastic urban greenhouse experience. Students from all backgrounds and abilities will be encouraged to work together to gain awareness of urban gardening and fresh food production. Activities will be developed so that students can participate in the project during the school day and after school.
Students will be able to gain an awareness of the health benefits of fresh produce by creating an urban greenhouse. To sustain the project emphasis will be placed on generating funds for the project by selling the produce at school. Therefore students will experience financial life skills along with agricultural skills.
