During this time, the chance to learn outdoors is much safer than staying in the classroom all day. This project will provide a space outside of the classroom to learn and interact with each other through gardening. The garden and outdoor learning space will give special and general education students the chance to collaborate and learn new skills. General education high school students will have a chance to interact and learn about students with disabilities as they work alongside them to plant, build and make changes to the outdoor learning space. Through this project, students are learning across all subjects (Art, Science, ELA, and Digital Literacy.) They are also learning to grow an edible garden that their families can benefit from.
