Little kids are the best! I am the Special Education & National Board Certified teacher working with 2 wonderful classroom assistants. We have two great groups of preschoolers - AM & PM sessions, each having about 18 kids. The students in my inclusive developmental preschool are between the ages of 3 & 6. Over half of the kids have special needs - ranging from Autism, genetic disorders, seizure disorders, developmental or communication delays. The remaining students are peer models who come from the local neighborhoods and receive preschool at no cost. We encourage all students to participate in all activities no matter what disability may be on their paperwork. We strive to create engaging learning opportunities for a wide variety of students by supporting each child at their own level, even if that means more work for us.
