Pre-K students learn best through play and exploration! Children need to explore, create, and get their hands dirty. The activities I have requested will provide them with the opportunity to work together in small groups to collaborate and learn more about letters and their sounds.
Students will be able to write letters, match upper and lowercase letters, and explore letter identification. They will have fun activities that will not only engage them but will help capture their imagination all while learning! The activities received through the grant will be placed in our Literacy Center. Students will be able to work on fine motor skills while writing their letters, practice their letter identification by matching upper and lowercase letters, and explore the letter sounds. The best part is that it will all be hands on! My objective is to help them build a solid foundation so they can be successful going into Kindergarten.
