In kindergarten, math especially, is very hands-on. This year, we have faced many challenges with this. My students are unable to share manipulatives due to COVID-19 restrictions, and often have a hard time seeing what I'm doing during teaching with manipulatives due to social distancing.
This document camera would be a real game changer for us!
Not only would my students be able to see my actions, but they would also be able to manipulate mathematical situations under the camera for their peers to see! If we were forced to go back to remote learning, the camera would be used every day for teaching math.
Understanding, for these young minds, is seeing and doing. We greatly appreciate your consideration in donating to our project!
