These new materials will make our classroom more comforting and fun for the students because they will have new manipulatives, books, seating, and organizational help. Our classroom has minimal supplies as I am a new teacher this year. I have a variety of students with different backgrounds who I want to all feel welcome and safe in my classroom. I have students who have different living situations that are becoming more common and I want all students to be represented in books. Every student should see someone in a book who is like them. I believe having these new materials will make our classroom have an even stronger community as we build and learn from each other. I can't wait to share all of the new books, manipulatives, and sensory items with my students!
