Starting off as a first year teacher, I am trying to create the most warm and welcoming environment for my students to learn in. Most Kindergarteners come in on the first day of school very nervous and hesitant to come into the classroom. A classroom rug creates a home feeling that brightens up the room and makes the room appear more inviting.
My students and I LOVE to do hands-on activities and lessons. Most of these lessons take place on a classroom rug. The rug I have chosen has enough leaves on the rug for each student, which will help them have a visual spot to stay on during lessons. We also do many group lessons where they all sit on the perimeter of the carpet so we can see each others smiling faces throughout our learning.
