My before school breakfast club will meet 30-40 minutes each day to get their minds warmed up and ready to go for the day. They will use this time to practice their mental math skills through a variety of activities. Using a Lenovo tablet to access a variety of mental math practice applications will be a main focus. The continued practice in unique ways will encourage motivation, attendance and math fact fluency which will enrich their classroom learning experience. The students will use accessible tablets to access web based activities and practice on skills taught. Students will be assessed with STAR assessments online to monitor their progress. Being a Mental Math Magician will be their goal. We want them to move to the top of the class with math facts and mental math solutions while encouraging confidence in their math abilities.
