I teach in the heart of Downtown Los Angeles. Most of my students are recently released from detention centers after having immigrated to the US - often without their parents. They come to live with distant relative who are strangers to them and work to survive on top of attending school. Other students come from low-income home for whom being in the classroom is a struggle itself.
Each and everyone of my students are resilient, bright and deserving of the goals and dreams they dare to dream!
