Technology is playing a key role this year and I am teaching our totally remote students for the year. The struggle my students and I face is to make meaningful connections to build a safe environment for my students to learn.
When teaching remotely, having the ability to see what I am sharing with my students and all their faces helps me to better gauge their understanding and adjust my lesson as needed to meet their needs. I am able to be more responsive to my students and provide more timely feedback. My students will not directly use the second monitor but will benefit from my ability to better adapt and differentiate the lesson based on responses I see on their screens.
