Our school library is an essential resource for my students. We know how important books are in student's life. My first graders LOVE books. Unfortunately they are behind in their reading. I help them with small group reading, and whole class reading everyday. As an almost new teacher and first time in first grade, I have limited books for them to read that I purchased in the last 2 years. We will love to have a variety of books in different genres and skills. I love seeing them read with so much joy, and I know by purchasing these resources their love for reading grow, and they will have the opportunity to succeed at school.
