In the classroom students have time each day to read a book of their choice. Many times though, the students struggle to find a book of interest. And other times, they cannot find one at their level. Thus, making reading not fun and many times students end up pretending to read instead of actually falling into the book. By having more inclusive, diverse and high interest books in my classroom, students will be more engaged in their reading and have the opportunity to read a book that they enjoy each day.
Students need to read everyday, and by giving them this opportunity, it can positively change their lives! Students will be able to read books of multiple genres and share about their book so that others can be part of the adventure as well!
