These plastic band instruments will allow my students to learn a band instrument. The instruments are durable, lightweight, and designed for a young student. The instruments will be easy for us to clean and maintain in our classroom and will be used for many years to follow. Learning a band instrument will be a rewarding experience for these students. It will teach them life skills such as perseverance, goal setting, and teamwork. As they grow in their music ability, so will their confidence in themselves and each other. Currently, many of my students do not get to learn a band instrument because of low income. The instruments purchased through Donors Choose will be used during their music class. Every student in 4th and 5th grades will get the chance to pick the best instrument for them and learn to play it.
