Social emotional learning is a vital part of education, especially with the pandemic going on and the rough year and a half our students have just experienced. SEL (social emotional learning) is something I've always tried to integrate into my classroom since working with students with special needs. I will ensure to do this even more so now. I think by using these journals, I will be able to provide my students with different ways to express themselves and also with support to share their experiences and personal lives with me in a structured way.
