We are a PreK-5th grade bilingual elementary school in a rural suburban town in Colorado. Our school has a very diverse population which allows for a rich exploration of our musical identities. In our classroom, we study the music of the different cultures represented in our building and other cultures present around us. Drums are instruments, in different shapes and forms, are present in most of the cultures of the world.
Our amazing students are proud to be bilingual and love to learn about what makes us unique and how we come together through music.
They pride themselves on helping each other, learning to regulate themselves, and advocating for themselves and their learning community, all while celebrating the diversity of our entire community.
