As a new teacher at BMS, I am excited to build a diverse classroom library with current book titles that appeal to a wide range of readers. To that end, I've selected around 30 books in Spanish and English, including graphic novels, memoirs, short stories, and even a guide for teen mindfulness. These novels will provide my students with the opportunity to see themselves reflected in texts they read. Their protagonists are young, smart, Black, Brown, Latinx, Asian, Native American, LGBTQ...in short, just like my students! Your contribution will help this educator create a class of eager readers in English and español. Thank you for your support!
