These titles for our library will help usher reluctant readers to try out books that they might otherwise avoid. The spare language of verse novels makes them less intimidating for those who have trouble finishing a full novel. Yet these novels contain very rich multicultural stories and compelling plots that will interest and hold the reader's attention. Verse novels have become popular with many students in our library, both those that love the richness of language and those that appreciate a shorter read. With these titles, I would like to make sure we have verse novels that appeal to all students.
