In kindergarten, we spend a lot of time sitting together for whole group learning. The large classroom carpet will be perfect for helping keep students in their spots. If they know where they are expected to sit, they will not move all around. This will help not only with their attention but also keep them from distracting their peers.
The carpet would be used for calendar/number corner in the mornings, numerous read alouds throughout the day, sight word and letter sound practice, a spot for centers, and also a place for quiet rest! As you can see, the potential for this amazing resource is endless!
