Flexible seating gives my students a choice to pick a seat that works best for them! Seating options and choice empowers them to be comfortable, have a say, and focus on their work. I have 2 fidget stools that I borrowed from a colleague and after our first day of concurrent learning an in person student pointed to the wiggle stool and said, "I want one of those!". Sadly I don't have any more to share. Hopefully soon I will be able to offer a wobbly stool to any child that wants one!
Respecting students need to move and learn in different ways helps them to be successful in my classroom.
