We are requesting donations to purchase very durable dodgeball to be used in our physical education class for the enhancement of math skills. Since Covid, students' physical, mental and social well being has declined tremendously. With this activity we will be integrating math skills, social interaction and physical activity all together. Dodgeballs will be marked with numbers as well as math symbols (such as adding, subtracting, multiplication, and division.)
The best way to keep students engaged is to create fun games where they do not even realize they are learning. Through out the year, we have seen how the students are struggling to get back into the groove. With this activity, students will be given the opportunity to improve math skills and social interactions all while being physically active.
