I teach at a title one school and many of my students come to the first day with nothing. I will be teaching a diverse group of students and want to make sure that they never have to worry in my classroom about supplies so that they can focus on being the best students they can be (and just being kids!). For many of my students, these supplies will make the difference for them, both in school and at home. While they are simple supplies these will be the building blocks for my reading and social studies lessons over the course of my first year. I try to put as much as I am able but I, like many, have had severe financial stress during 2020 due to job loss and health crises. It would mean the world to me and my students to help me build the classroom they deserve!
