A lot of my time and energy has gone into creating a fun, learning environment. I have completed several DIY crafts to make my classroom bright, colorful, and inviting. I am constantly going to yard sales to try and find something to add to my classroom for my students to enjoy. However, I cannot build new desks or places for my students to sit and learn from.
My 8th-grade students deserve a seating option that allows them to stretch out, be comfortable, and feel confident. I would love to add standing desks, higher stools, and larger desktops into my classroom. Currently, they have very small desks and chairs, the same ones that they had in sixth grade and let's be honest-they have grown, matured and earned a larger learning area!
