These clay materials will allow my Art Club (2021/2022) students to work with clay- for most of them it will be their first time doing so! The students will be creating a beautiful clay mosaic that will be displayed by the front of the school to thank our students, teachers, and visitors for coming to our campus.
This project will help students learn the basics of working with clay and glaze, and will allow them to leave a lasting and beautiful mark on our school! Students will be using their materials and the new skills they will learn to create a beautiful clay mosaic that will last for many years to come. This will give the students the opportunity to work with new materials that they otherwise would not get to work with during the school year due to funding problems that arise when you need to buy art materials for 800 children each year! All of my kids are always incredibly excited at the prospect with working with clay, but I have not yet been able to give them the opportunity to do so.
These students are dedicated and talented kids who just plain love art and creating. I hope that with your help we can give them the opportunity to work with clay, learn to glaze and fire pottery, make a lasting impact on their school, and foster a life-long love of creating!
