One characteristic of my students that I have always admired is their desire to know: to know why the Hindenburg really exploded; to know why Billy Coleman never returned to his childhood home, the place where he dedicated years of his childhood saving for, raising, and hunting with his two best friends; or how people could be so cruel to others as is displayed in The Devil's Arithmetic. With your help, I can expand my classroom library with a drove of books from all genres, which will supply my students with what is necessary for them to embark on journeys of their choice into the past, present, or future with fictional characters or real life heroes.
