My master´s degree in Neuroeducation, my research based teaching and my belief in the idea the that another education is possible has led me to be a person that is always in need of experimenting, exploring, learning, changing and above all enjoying and having fun in life and in the classroom. I always try to implement new things, but also want them to be researche based, so whenever I want to start something new, I do my homework and start investigating it´s effectivenness. I know that we are all and unique, so that means that we have different needs. Depending on my mood or the activity I am going to do, I want to sit alone, with other people, stand or lay on the floor. Not everybody can concetrate the same sitting on a chair and it´s boring to see the classroom the same every single day. So I asked my principle about flexible seating, he told me to talk with a colleuge that has been implementing it for 16 years now. I went to talk to her, did my own research and started one month ago. So far it has been one of the biggest and also best changes I have made in our classroom and we all want more of it. So I have talked to the students and we have made a list of the things we are still missing after trying everything out for a couple of weeks. Now we just need to bring in more felixible seating to improve what we already have, so we can make the classroom even more theirs :)
