I'm currently a first-year teacher. I teach first grade and absolutely love it! I serve at a Title 1 school, which means that 94% of our students receive free/reduced-price lunch and live at or below the poverty line. The majority of my students came to me with a lot of academic and emotional needs due to missing half of Kindergarten because of the pandemic. My students would truly benefit from seat pockets so they are able to store items at their desks. These items would help benefit my students academically, while also staying safe during the pandemic.
