I am a PK-8 teacher-librarian at two public schools in Southeast San Francisco. School libraries are a place for students to develop their literacy skills — but they are also a place where students can foster their love of learning, engage in play-based learning, and improve their creative problem-solving skills. As a librarian, I aim to provide a place for students to follow their passions and find joy in reading, project-based learning, and student-directed inquiry.
