Our STEM Academy students will learn coding skills, and use those skills to program LEGO robots! Having the chance to see their coding in action will be exciting and novel for them. As we build our supply of kits over time, student teams will be able to join in local competitions with our students, which will help in developing real life skills such as collaboration, communication and sportsmanship, along with the technical skills they'll need to be successful. The students who have elected to take part in the new STEM Academy are not planning to be in other extracurricular activities such as athletics or fine arts. This will be a crucial connection for school involvement!
