I am currently rebuilding the STEM program at my school. These materials will allow for my students to participate in hands-on learning - in and out of the classroom! Our school currently has a garden but does not have the tools necessary for students to go through the process of growing plants from seed. The goal would be to use the lights, the planters, and the mini-greenhouses to begin the plants from seeds throughout the winter, and then students can plant them in the spring. It will be an activity to complete after we learn about the different types of soils and how they impact plant and animal survival.
