More than three‑quarters of students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education.
At our high school we use Positive Behavioral Interventions Support (PBIS) which rewards students for positive behavior, good grades, and attendance. This photography set up would help us motivate and reward students for meeting and exceeding school expectations. The plan is to allow students to take and print pictures at lunch time on what would be called “Freestyle Fridays”.
92% of our student body is economically disadvantaged, struggling with chronic absenteeism, and keeping up academically with their more advantaged peers.
Providing tangible rewards for students helps motivate them to succeed. We want to provide as much motivation as possible to help our students realize they are capable of greatness.
