This project will put books in the hands of children and families before they enter kindergarten. Along with the books parents will be given information about the importance of early literacy. We currently have a high number of students in grades K-5 who are struggling readers. Our hope is with this project parents will understand the importance of early literacy. With increased literacy knowledge we hope our number of struggling readers will decrease. We want all children to have the best opportunities in school! Reading is a critical skill for success in life! We owe it to our children!

About my class
