Students leaving high school are now needing skills in technology and STEM. As an alternative school for at-risk youth, the more engaging and hands-on the more likely our students are to earn their high school diploma. This 3D printer would allow students the ability to learn to code, working with computers, scientific methods, and problem-solving skills.
3D printers and other technology have not been made available to the majority of students due to lack of funding and the remedial help most students come to us needing. The 3D printer would allow the students the opportunity to begin to learn life skills using what they have learned about math and reading in their remedial courses.
