My students need the basic social and emotional learning skills in order to meet their fullest academic potential.
The Positive Behavior Support position is new to our school district this year and there are so many needs for our students. Our campus is working to provide students with a program that will teach social skills lessons that last a lifetime. The supplies requested for this new program would allow our students to learn individually, in small groups, or in a full classroom setting. We will provide students the opportunity to learn calming strategies, growth mindset, coping skills, how to work with others, and behavior replacement skills. The strategies we can provide for students with these materials will allow students to be socially and emotionally strong thus allowing the classroom teachers to focus more on the students academic needs.
Help our school recognize the importance of social and emotional learning through hands on activities and group lessons provided by the books and manipulatives requested.
