I work at a Title I school in downtown Las Vegas. I have made a promise to my students that if they spent the school year working hard towards reading goals, I would gift them with some amazing books to keep for the summer to continue their reading. Most of my students do not have the opportunity to own books or any educational resources at home. Doing this helps me know they have an opportunity to keep reading when they leave me. I want to give them every opportunity to continue learning and enjoy reading even when they are not in the classroom
