At Aspen, our students love visual art and music. Unfortunately, our school has very limited resources. We blend visual art and music to spark creativity, self-expression, and creative thinking in my students. Through painting, drawing, and dynamic rhythm-building activities, my classroom becomes a place where students explore different forms of artistic expression—including visual storytelling and improvised musical performance. I’ve seen firsthand how art and music empower students—especially those from underserved backgrounds—to build confidence, sharpen critical thinking skills, and find their unique voices. By equipping our classroom with quality materials and instruments, we’ll create immersive experiences that bridge disciplines and bring creativity to life. With donor support, our arts-integrated classroom will open new avenues for learning, collaboration, and joy.
