The use of flexible seating in the classroom allows students the opportunity to become independent, self-aware, and in control of their learning. Students become comfortable and self-governing in the classroom and in their learning.
Flexible seating recognized the ability for students to move freely throughout the classroom in various forms in order to maintain physical health, choice, collaboration, and sensory input. Students increase oxygen flow to the brain and core strength as well as stimulation that helps children with focusing and processing information. Lastly, having students in charge of their own learning and cooperation with peers.
